Last week was the proverbial end to the mountain bike season with the classic ICEMAN Cometh Challenge. The ICEMAN is the largest 1 day point to point mountain bike race in North America. The race traditionally begins in downtown Kalkaska and traverses 2 track, single track, and gravels road through the Pier Marquette National Forest and sections of the famous Vasa Cross Country Ski Trail. This year saw more than 4500 racers ready to do battle in the woods, and they were greeted with mild fall temperatures and sunny skies. In addition to a world class event, there was world class partying to be done as well at the finish line.
TSB was in full force and not to be out done, as several on the team did their first ICEMAN, beat personal best times, and tasted the podium. Congrats to all that raced! All that finished!
